Veronica Diangelo is the saddle club`s rich, snobby and spoiled Italian Australian rival at Pine Hollow Stables.
From the beginning of season one it is clear that she has a rivalry with the saddle club girls Stevie and Carole this attitude eventually grows to include Lisa.
She makes use of every opportunity to sabotage, bully and humiliate them although her plans usually end up backfiring.
She enjoys flirting with boys Phil, and Greg in particular and often pretends to be kinder, and more understanding in an effort to impress them, though she does not appear to develop any true affection for them as she abandons them quickly when it is no longer beneficial to be associated with them.
Early in season one Veronica`s horse is a beautiful black stallion Cobalt.
She is often shown to be neglectful, and borderline abusive toward him.
Her lack of respect and responsibility for her horse culminates in a jumping accident with Cobalt resulting in having to put him down.
Her new horse is a lovely chestnut mare named Garnet.
Towards the end of season two, she appears to become less selfish as a result of her father falling into debt.
Her new lifestyle means that she actually has to take care of her horse, albeit under the supervision of Stevie.
Veronica grows frustrated with her situation, and feeling a lack of desire to ride she sells Garnet.
Though she quickly realizes how much the horse means to her and with the saddle club`s help, she gets her back.
During the last episode of season two, she saves Pine Hollow which is in debt by finding an old, valuable stamp in the Regnery`s attic.
This was a difficult decision for her because she wanted to buy her own stables.
She also stops looking down on Red, and it is implied that she begins dating him.
During season three, despite her apparent growth in season two there is no mention of Scooter and Veronica returns to her old, selfish ways.
